Supported video files
Upload MP4, MOV, MKV, or WEBM files up to 80MB and 5 minutes. The musical result comes from the soundtrack; the visual frames are not used for note recognition.
Audio quality still matters
Place the recording device where the piano is clear and avoid loud speech, audience noise, or other instruments. Video resolution does not improve the MIDI result.
Privacy and retention
The original video is removed after its soundtrack is extracted. Guest audio and MIDI are kept for no more than 24 hours; registered-user audio and MIDI for no more than 90 days.

Does the converter read the pianist's hands?
No. It transcribes the video's audio soundtrack. Camera angle and image resolution do not affect note detection.
Can I upload a long concert video?
No. Videos are limited to 5 minutes and 80MB. Trim the authorized section you need before uploading.
Which sustain mode should I choose?
Use With sustain for connected pedal performances. Use Without sustain for shorter note boundaries and detailed MIDI cleanup.
